Process Technical Services Manager

Purpose of the job
The Technical Services Manager is a senior manager who reports to the Technical Director and has
the primary responsibilities to:

  • Draft and implement an operational plan for the process technical department that will support
    the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Setup and implement a framework to standardize and systemize operational processes in the
    organization, based on industry accepted principles, regulations, standards (SANS, ISO, etc),
    and codes of good practice.

Material Handler (Salt Handling)

Division: Production (Brine & Utilities)

Purpose of the job

The Material Handler reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for continuous cost-
effective service of offloading raw materials at the Salt warehouse. Conduct visual checks on the salt

to be offloaded, accept the incoming delivery, and then offload the trucks. Operate plant according to
production plan. Ensure sufficient salt is fed to the dissolvers. Responsible for accurate recording of all
salt loads received in Moodi data capturing. Ensure safe and accurate shift handover. Report any
deviations from the process to the Shift Supervisor. Follow procedures observing at all times EH&S
guidelines and communicate clearly with other departments.

  1. OFFLOADING ROAD TANKERS.
  • Responsible for accepting and offloading salt deliveries.
  • Records all required information on salt deliveries in the required log sheet
  • Offload salt deliveries and move the salt to designated area within the plant.
  • Adhere to SHERQ guidelines at all times.
  • Work together with the Front End Loader Drivers to ensure constant filling of salt to the
    hoppers.

  • Responsible for taking salt samples and conducting visual quality checks of salt to be
    offloaded.

The Quality Assurance Practitioner reports to SHEP Manager and is mainly responsible for
coordinating, coaching and actively promoting NCP’s quality programme at the plants which is

The incumbent is the plant’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the ISO-9001 and quality systems, he/she

Purpose of the job
The Instrumentation Artisan reports to the Instrumentation Supervisor and has the primary
responsibilities to:

  • Inspect the Instrumentation within the area of responsibility.
  • Repair and/or replace the equipment that is not fit-for-service or unsafe.
  • Maintain and/or Improve Instrumentation to ensure safe and continuous availability of the
    assets.
  • Ensure that the Housekeeping within the area of responsibility is always acceptable and/or

Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience working as a qualified instrumentation artisan / mechanician,
    preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of the Area Classification and Safety integrity Level (SIL) Standards.
    Qualifications:
  • Matric
  • Relevant Instrumentation Qualification
  • Instrumentation Red Seal
    Reporting structure:
  • This position reports to the Instrumentation Supervisor.
    Personal Circumstances:
  • Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
  • May be required to be on standby.
