Purpose of the job
To provide training and workplace experience to learners with an interest in Plant Operations to learn plant operations / production principles, and perform related activities through integration of knowledge, practical and workplace learning components. These learners also serve as a pool that feeds the production sections with capable manpower.
Key performance area
- Attend theoretical learning modules.
- Perform summative assessments.
- Carryout plant operation tasks.
- Conduct plant inspections and troubleshooting.
- Working shifts according to production roster.
- Carryout other SHERQ related activities.
Knowledge /Skills and Competencies
- Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Attention to detail.
- Planning and organising skills.
- Good verbal written communication skills
Experience
- No experience is required.
Qualifications (minimum requirements):
- Matric with Mathematics & Physical Sciences.
or
- N3 with Mathematics & Engineering Sciences
Personal Circumstances:
- Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
