Purpose of the job
To provide workplace experiential learning to prospective apprentices and develop quality artisans through the application of learnt trade knowledge, practical in the workplace environment and contribute to the business maintenance needs.
Key Performance Area
- Shadow experienced artisans.
- Perform logbook tasks under supervision.
- Submit weekly tasks log sheets.
- Conduct housekeeping at own work area.
- Adhere to safety regulations.
- Carry out all trade-specific NCP activities.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Attention to detail.
- Planning and organising skills.
- Good verbal written communication skills.
Experience
- No experience is required.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 with Maths & Physical/N3 Engineering Science – PLUS trade related theory subject.
- Must have completed the Boilermaker-specific institutional training at an accredited training centre or college (requiring workplace training only)
Personal Circumstances:
- Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
