Purpose of the job
This position is responsible for maintenance at the Cato Ridge plant to meet production of customer volumes and quality requirements in a safe and efficient manner that ensures the business’s sustainable profitability and competitiveness in the region. The incumbent will also form part of the Emergency Response Team at Cato Ridge.

Key performance area
1.Asset Management
•
To ensure that all NCP asset management standards with regards to plant scheduled and statutory maintenance programs are executed as per legal requirements.
2.Maintain Industry Safety Standards
•
To ensure that the specified and industry safety standards are always maintained.
3.Plant Maintenance Program
•
To control plant maintenance expenses within the annual fixed cost budget.
4.Root Cause Analysis
•
Perform Root Cause Analysis for all plant equipment failure.
5.Improvement projects

Lead and manage plant improvement projects.

Experience
•
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
•
Registered as an installation Electrician with the Department of Labour (Advantageous)

Qualifications:
•
Matric
•
National Diploma/ S4/N6 Electrical/Electronic Engineering
•
Trade certificate – Millwright

Reporting structure:
This position reports to the Site Supervisor.

Personal Circumstances:
•
Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
