Purpose of the job
The GRC Enablement department has a vacancy for a GRC Associate position due to the GRC
Technical Associate position becoming vacant. The proposal is thus to hire a chemical engineering
intern to fulfil this position.
Key performance area

  • Participates in all internal and external audits, (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 17020, NSF, RC,
    PSM, Technical, Customer and EHS Legal Compliance) and other GRC related audits as and
    when required.
  • Follow up on actions arising from ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 17020, NSF, RC, PSM, EHS Legal,
    Technical and Customer Audits as per requirement from the GRC Systems and Technical
    Practitioner.
  • Follow up on actions arising from Responsible Care annual self-assessments conducted by
    Code of Management Practice, (CMP) owners.
  • Support the GRC Systems Practitioner to co-ordinate the NSF annual sampling process.
  • Support the GRC Technical Practitioner to gather data for CAIA KPI annual submission.
  • Support the GRC Enablement Team to ensure that the latest GRC ISO, NSF, PSM and RC
    related documents are on Ariscu.
  • Support the GRC Systems Practitioner & Technical Practitioner to gather evidence for
    verification of findings from external ISO, NSF, PSM, RC, EHS Legal Compliance and
    Customer audits.
  • Support the GRC Systems Practitioner & Technical Practitioner in preparation of ISO, NSF,
    PSM, RC, EHS Legal Compliance, Supplier/Service Provider and Customer based audits.
  • Supports the GRC Technical and Systems Practitioner in ensuring internal and external audits
    are scheduled as per the audit schedule and any changes thereto are maintained and
    communicated.
  • Participates in review of GRC ISO, NSF, PSM and RC documentation.
  • Support the GRC Systems Administrator to ensure that the SABS subscription is updated
    annually and remains current.
  • Follows up on the Risk Mitigation and Compliance Mitigation Actions as documented on the
    risk register and compliance universe per department in support of the Risk & Compliance
    Specialist.
  • Conducts audits on EDMS with the support of the GRC Systems Administrator, (inclusive of
    Document Manager, NC Manager, Task Manager, Checklist Manager) to ensure all
    documents/processes are carried out as per requirements of the Document Control Procedure
    and the relevant process procedures.
  • Assists and supports GRC Technical and GRC Systems Practitioner with monthly and
    quarterly reports as and where required.
  • Supports the Risk & Compliance Specialist with monthly and quarterly reports as and where
    required.
    Knowledge / skills/ Competencies
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Planning and organising skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
    Experience
  • 0 – 1 years’ experience.
    Qualifications:
  • Matric.
  • National Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering.
    Personal Circumstances:
  • Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
