Purpose of the job
The position is mainly responsible for generating completed, accurate traceable records of order and
the fulfilment of sequence of activities accomplished as the team, resulting in safely filled and
despatched chlorine drums and cylinders while adhering to SHERQ principles.
Key performance area
- Receiving of empty drums and cylinders.
- Venting/snifting of drums and cylinders.
- Valve removal.
- Purging, washing, drying and valve installation.
- Filling of drums and cylinders with liquid chlorine.
- Despatching of chlorine drums and cylinders.
- Do daily stock taking.
- Ensure all relevant checklists are completed.
- Adherence to all SHERQ principles.

- Computer literacy
- Basic knowledge of equipment used.

- Understanding of MSDS
 Experience
- Experience in a Chemical/Manufacturing environment
Qualifications:
- Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science
- Valid Forklift and Overhead Crane license (Advantageous)
 Reporting structure:
 This position reports to the Logistics Activity Coordinator
Personal Circumstances:
- Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
- May be required to be on Standby.
