Purpose of the job
This role is best suited to an individual who is dynamic. They would need to have experience in the HR Field
and be experienced in working independently as well as a team. This role requires an individual who has
good HR experience including experience in IR Matters, recruitment, labour relations and Employment
equity.
Key performance area
Recruitment, selection, and on-boarding
Manage the recruitment function and ensure service levels are maintained with the business:
- Compiling of Job Profiles.
- Shortlisting, Conducting Interviews with Hiring Department and Selection.
- Preparation of Offer Letter and full-on boarding documents and contracts.
- Liaison with Recruitment Agencies when sourcing candidates.
 Terminations:
- Send termination notification to relevant stakeholders.
- Capture terminations on the HR Information System.
- Prepare exit documentation (termination form, UIF, provident fund withdrawal form) for employees
 and explain exit process to employees.
- Ensure all termination claims are processed by medical aid scheme and the Provident Fund.
- Coordinate completion of UIF documents upon terminations.
- Assist with conducting exit interviews.
- Analyse exit interview data and report trends.
 Labour Relations:
- Chairing of disciplinary Hearings,
- Representation of the company in Dispute resolution forums i.e. NBCCI/CCMA as and when
 required.
- Conduct Investigations.
- Offering advice on Labour Matters
- Liaise with Labour Consults/Lawyers on NBCCI/ CCMA/Labour Court Matters
- Oversee and participate in monthly Union/Management meetings and minutes.
 Performance Management:
- Implementation of Performance Appraisal System
- Training of Manager on the system
- Facilitation of the process.
Employment Equity:
- Ensure the EESD Committee is fully Operational.
- Development of Plans and submission of reports
- Completion of EEA2, EEA4, EEA12, EEA13.
 Reporting
- Developing Plans and budget
- Compiling and submission of monthly reports
- Develop HR policies and procedures according to BCEA and practices.
 BBBEE & Skills development
- Ensure BBBEE scorecard for Management control and Skills development are compliant.
- Ensure WSP & ATR are submitted on a yearly basis.
- Assist SDF with submissions, training arrangements and skills audits.

 Technical Competencies

- Minimum 3 years + proven experience in the HR Officer role.
- Minimum 2-year proven experience in recruitment & selection, On-boarding and termination of
 employees
- SAGE ESS People – working experience.
 Qualifications:
- Matric/ Grade 12 (Essential)
- Qualification – NQF 6 in HR (Essential)
- Labour relations (desirable)

Reporting structure:
- This position reports to the Business Operations Manager.
 Personal Circumstances:
- Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
